- What will be the arrival time?
You have been scheduled for a three-hour arrival time for your tech. An hour before the start of your window you will receive a text message that will provide you with a closer arrival time for your tech!
**We cannot guarantee that your tech will arrive at any specific time due to variables like routes for the day, lengthy job times or technical issues.
- What do I need to do to prep for my service?
Carpets must be vacuumed prior to the tech’s arrival. If carpets are not vacuumed, then additional charges may apply.
Move any furniture: Moving furniture is not included in any of our carpet cleaning packages and is left up to the discretion of the client. Fragile or small pieces may be moved by the client prior to your appointment but we do not require things like couches, beds, dressers, tables, or entertainment centers to be moved for us to clean. We are happy to work around any large pieces that you do not want to move!
- What do you consider as an area?
An Area is a room that is approximately 250 square feet. Living room/Dining room combos are considered 2 areas.
- How long does it take to clean my carpets?
Approximately 15-20 min per room.
- Do you guarantee removing of all spots or stains in the carpet?
We cannot guarantee full removal of any type of stain. Some substances can permanently discolor or damage the carpet fiber. Certain factors like age or how the stain was previously treated have a great impact on our ability to remove them.
If stain treatment was included in your quote then we will treat all of your concerns and you will see a noticeable difference in them!! But full removal or restoring the carpet to like-new condition is not guaranteed.
- How long it will take for my carpets to dry?
Drying time for carpets can vary based on environmental factors (rain/humidity/temperature) Also the level of soiling can affect dry time. The average dry time is within four to six hours. If your carpet takes longer than 24 hours to dry, please give us a call!
You may walk on your carpet immediately after cleaning, but avoid wearing street shoes, as they may re-soil your carpet. Be especially careful when walking from damp, carpeted area on to non-carpeted areas to avoid slipping.
- Can your cleaning products harm my children, pets, or someone else?
No, of course not. However if you have someone who is particularly sensitive to allergens and this is of interest to you, please let us know before cleaning.
- I am highly sensitive to odor, does the cleaning smell?
That`s up to you. If we don’t put any deodorizer down after cleaning, the extraction is so effective that it will smell almost like nothing. However if you prefer a scent it can be applied after the carpet cleaning free of charge. Please let us know what your preference is.
- Does carpet cleaning get the padding or sub-floor wet, causing mold, mildew, or even damage the carpet?
Absolutely not. Our high-end equipment offers the most powerful truck mounted vacuum system available, so your carpet dries in hours.
- How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
Every home is different and you should clean your carpets based on your needs. My best recommendation however is every 6 to 12 months. You don’t want to wait until your carpet is filthy to clean it. The longer that soil and dirt is being rubbed into the face fiber the more damage it does to the carpet and the harder it gets to revive the “like new” appearance.
- How do I keep my carpet looking beautiful?
Dust particles break down the fibers in your carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies, so regular vacuuming is advisable. Vacuum once a week to minimize dust, but remember that regular professional carpet cleaning is essential to remove all the dust, mites and allergens that your vacuuming can`t.
- My carpet got wet, and now it reeks! How can I get rid of the smell?
Call One Stop immediately. Your carpet needs to be dried out and deodorized NOW to prevent the growth of dangerous mold and mildew (and to get rid of that smell, too).
